April Fools on the internet

CatCat 2Along with a multitude of other April Fools tricks on the internet, including YouTube’s “Rick rolling” on every front-page link, MIT’s student newspaper, The (creatively named) Tech, added a lolcats cursor to its website. I took a screenshot because it won’t always be April 1st, but try to check it out Tuesday.

EDIT: By the way, The New York Times got Rick rolled last week, stemming from a cleverly edited video from Eastern Washington University no less, as reported in The Spokesman-Review (somehow).

I’m not entirely sure why I’m so amused by all this internet April Fools pranking. I love that everyone is doing it, even huge sites like YouTube. Here’s a site that lists many of the pranks.
